Recent Undergraduate accepted into a Ph.D. program starting this Fall

Emma Abell-Selby was recently accepted into a Ph.D. program in Applied Anthropology with a focus on cultural anthropology at the University of South Florida. As a Ph.D. student, Emma plans to continue her master’s thesis by exploring the experiences of female Latin American migrant laborers residing in the greater Tampa Bay Area during the COVID-19 pandemic. In particular, she is interested in critically analyzing the stories among female Latin American migrants who are working in essential occupations. Emma’s research will answer questions related to physical and mental well-being as well as labor conditions during the pandemic
