Matthew Dumas Receives the Kenneth R. McCormick & Peter G. Jensvold Scholarship

The Kenneth R. McCormick & Peter G. Jensvold Scholarship is annually given by the Anthropology department to support Anthropology students who show promise in the field. This year’s winner is Anthropology SF Scholars Program Matthew Dumas.

Matthew is concentrating in Visual Anthropology and hopes to pursue a career in this subfield. He is pursuing courses in Cinema as well as Anthropology and is currently editing a former MA student’s film for submission to the American Anthropological Association conference. Matthew is working as a teaching assistant, a student ambassador at CREATE @ SF State, and a graduate assistant to the Bay Area chapter of the Scholars Strategy Network.
