Elisa Krieger is an M.A. Candidate in Anthropology with expertise in visual anthropology, digital and virtual ethnography, music, pedagogy, UX research, cultural anthropology, discourse analysis, disability justice, executive leadership and organizational management. Their thesis documented the emergence of hyperpop utilizing an impressive multimodal approach, using mixed methods, offering new insights to the anthropologies of music, image and sound studies. They have presented their peer-reviewed research at EPIC (Ethnographic Praxis in Industry Community). EPIC is a nonprofit organization, annual conference, and global network of professionals activating context and culture at the heart of computational and business systems.

They are an Employee Assistant to Dr. Fischer and Graduate Assistant. They're supporting our department's participation with the American Anthropological Association's Department Services Program. Prior to joining SFSU Anthropology Department, they studied IR and MEIS, worked with AT and after graduation managed NPOs in both national and international contexts.
