Sasha Kramer has been accepted to Johns Hopkins University’s PhD program in anthropology

Sasha Kramer has been accepted to Johns Hopkins University’s PhD program in anthropology. For her dissertation research, she plans to design an anthropological study that examines the role of ecology in mourning and memorialization at green burial cemeteries. She will investigate how the green burial movement is spurring novel sub-cultures of death and mourning in the United States. This research will build upon the research Sasha developed as a master’s student in the anthropology program at San Francisco State University under the advisement of Dr. Martha Lincoln.
